For our client we are looking for a Logistics Coordinator Job Purpose/OverviewReporting to the Project Manager, the Logistic Co-Ordinator’s role is to ensure seamless delivery of components to site in order to facilitate turbine installation. This will include close liaison with the site management team and management of the transport subcontractor. Prior to commencement the Logistic Co-Ordinator will be required to advise on vehicle and civil requirements, and at installation phase is responsible for ensuring delivery to meet programme.In addition, the Logistic Co-Ordinator is there to monitor subcontractor performance and drive efficiency and improvement.
Manage and execute logistics packages established by the clients Logistics.Manage and execute logistics packages established by the clients Logistics.Reporting to the Project Manager, provide the client main point-of-contact for logistics.Optimize subcontractor service and efficiency.Liaise with counterpart/supervisor at transport subcontractorManage implementation of site culture; for example, welfare, amenity, fencing, security, etcOversee processes to identify weaknesses and drive corrective actionsIn tandem with The client and site management, involvement/liaison to help achieve any localised pre-construction activities in regards to components; for example, cleaning, inspections, post-shipping installation of miscellaneous items, etcEstablish which permits are required and check that the transport contractor, etc have the applicable permits and approvals in placArrange traffic management measures as applicable to facilitate deliveryAssist PM with arrangements for reinstatement of any temporary offsite measures once all deliveries are completedReview site road design drawingsVisit site to monitor construction and provide advice for improvement/bettermentIn tandem with PM, instruct engineering review by transport contractor and review the subsequent engineering report for suitability and achievability. Instruct amendment where required.Responsible for delivery of components from the port to siteDay-to-day arrangements necessary to facilitate deliveriesIn tandem with the client`s site management, monitor progress and requirements of client’s Crane & Installation subcontractor to ensure continual productionArrange any traffic management measures as applicable to facilitate control of any vehicles on site, thereby ensuring safe deliveryArrange delivery of transformers directly with supplierManage claims for product damaged in transit. Including, but not limited to, investigation, timely execution and closure.In tandem with PM, review and process invoices received from subcontractors.
